Ride for the Lake
Wallenpaupack Area High School
See beautiful views of the Big Lake from your motorcycle while supporting an important cause! The Motorcycle “Ride for the Lake” takes place on Saturday, August 27th, from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants are asked to meet at the Wallenpaupack Area High School for an expanded 41 mile motorcycle ride around the lake. The event benefits the non-profit Lake Wallenpaupack Watershed Management District, which studies the lake and protects it from pollution. Climb aboard dozens of boats hosted by Lake Wallenpaupack’s leading marinas and powersport centers including Light-house Harbor Marina, New Wave in Recreation, Captain Joe’s Sales & Service, Inc., 1st Klas Marina, The Boat Shop, Rusty Palmer, Inc., Seeley’s Marina and others. See the latest in watercraft, pleasure, pontoon, ski and wakeboard boats. Also on display, a rare beautifully restored antique wooden ChrisCraft from Katz’s Marina. Event topped off with various exhibitors and food stands including I-84 Country Store’s World Famous BBQ, free face painting by Face the Art Face Painting and entertainment provided by Black Ops Sound and Lighting.

Lighthouse Marina is 8 miles south on RT 507 from the Visitors Center.  Reservations accepted starting July 31st, 2016 at 10am by calling 570-226-2141, voice mails will not be accepted as confirmation.
