PPL Dam and Power Plant Tours, PPL Environmental Learning Center, Saturday, 10am – 3pm. 570-253-7001. Open to all ages, rain or shine. During this free tour you will learn about the history surrounding the construction of PPL’s hydroelectric dam and plant in the 1920’s and how PPL manages the lake today.

Canal Festival, WCHS Delaware & Hudson Canal Park at Lock 31, 179 Rte 6, 1 mile west of Hawley, Saturday, 10am-5pm. 570-253-3240. The Wayne County Historical Society will host the first Annual Canal Festival and public ribbon cutting at the circa 1820s Lock 31 site. Featuring canal history, heritage activities, children’s games, food, music, crafts and educational exhibits.

Battle of the Bands, Lake Wallenpaupack in front of Visitors Center. Saturday, 11:30am-7:30pm. Three bands will perform throughout the day on a floating stage in front of the Dike and Visitors Center ON Lake Wallenpaupack. (Free)

      The Shuttle makes stops at Greshams Landing, The Visitor Center, the high school, the middle school and the silk mill. Pick up a brochure or download from the site and you’ll see an icon for each stop. See you soon!
