What Happened at Last Year’s Wally Lake Fest ~ Friday

Friday Night Jazz Tour

Friday Night Music in Hawley

The opening night of Lake Fest went off like a firecracker.  The Lake Wallenpaupack Visitor’s Center was a flutter with buzz about the activities to unfold throughout Wally Lake Fest.  Friday night opened up the weekend with the “Music Tour”, where a few restaurants played host to some of the area’s hottest bands.

The Settler’s Inn held an event on their outdoor patio featuring select microbrews for tasting and meal pairing.  The epicurean meal was accompanied by hot jazz music.  Starting at 6pm, the single seating concluded with plenty of time to hit up some of the other events.

Wally and the Paupacks, who were really the first band to kick-start Lake Fest on the Wednesday prior at 5:00am during WNEP’s Ryan Leckey Live’s broadcast of Lake Fest, brought the house down at Ehrhardt’s pub.  These guys really know how to throw it down, Ehrhardt’s was packed.

Some folks who left Settler’s in time made it to the Ritz theater for “Don’t Dress for Dinner” a theatrical comedy that was fun for all ages.  Looking forward to what the Ritz has in store for us this year.  Finally the night ended at The Boathouse Restaurant with Pocono Duo who rocked into the wee hours of Saturday morning.

This year’s festival is going to double the Friday night entertainment we saw last year – stay tuned for more details.
